| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Acer's Aspire one is more than a mobile communications platform. Although it does that extremely well. It has built in 802.11b/g and Fast Ethernet connectivity. The built in webcam lets you attend video conferences or have video chats. A 1.6GHz Intel Atom processor powers the Windows XP Home operating system. The 160 GB hard drive provides plenty of space for both your work and entertainment files. The Intel GMA 950 processor drives the 8.9-inch screen. The 1024x600 resolution provides an incredibly detailed image. An LED backlight helps to increase battery life. The Aspire One, for when you need a real computer but don't have a lot of space.

Great Laptop for Casual User February 22, 2010 K. McClung (Texas) I originally was wanting to purchase a secondary laptop for college, something that would be lightweight and easy to carry to class with me.
This computer is amazingly light, I stick it right in my purse and take it everywhere with me! The specs are good and it is perfect for doing homework or surfing the internet. Of course you have to get used to the small screen and keyboard, but I got accustomed to that in about a week or so.
I honestly have no complaints about this laptop, I have had mine for about 6 months now and still use it almost every day. Of course the system is too small for an optical drive and that is understandable but doesn't take away from it's usefulness. I have a normal sized laptop to watch movies and burn DVDs but I take the little one with me so I can have the convenience of being connected 24/7.
Definitely a great buy for someone who is always on the go~
Terrific little computer February 10, 2010 Jessica L. Smith (Nebraska) I have used this netbook a couple of times a week for the past year. Runs quietly and quickly for the size. I find it perfect for reading the news or typing papers. It has enough power to stream videos, play flash games, and upload all my photos to the web. The weight is excellent for carrying around in a purse or backpack and can be used practically anywhere. I purchased a cooling fan (sized for a full size notebook rather than a netbook) and was glad I did as this little guy gets very warm. I have enjoyed this computer and expect to enjoy it for a considerable amount of time into the future.
PRETTY AND PINK January 21, 2010 Kimmer A. Spencer (MAUI HAWAII) I GOT MY ACER VERY FAST AFTER I PUT THE ORDER IN. ITS VERY CUTE! LOOKS DO MATTER. THE KEY BOARD TAKES SOME GETTING USE TO. I LIKE IT BECAUSE IT FITS IN MY PURSE. PERFECT FOR ON THE GO , CHECKING EMAIL AND SURFING THE WEB. I HAVE THE 6 CELL BATTERY AND IT STAYS CHARGED FOR ALMLOST FIVE HOURS. ITS FUN TO USE EXCEPT FOR USING THE SPACE BAR. IT JUST DOESNT QUITE FIT RIGHT, BUT IT IS DOABLE.I THINK THE 10 INCH WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. IT'S STILL A GREAT LITTLE COMPUTER. THE SCREEN, FOR AS SMALL AS IT IS, IS SUPER CLEAR AND SHARP COLOR. I THINK THIS WOULD BE GREAT FOR STUDENTS ON THE GO.
And it bounces November 26, 2009 Skip of Alabama (Alabama) Got this for the lady wife. She has been more than happy. She sits on the couch and IMs her sister and her daughter, updates her blogs and generally has a good time with it. Seems a trifle slow, but then it IS a netbook.
She dropped it, 4' onto our ceramic tile kitchen floor. She said it "bounced". She picked it. No chips, no cracks and it works. It is the tiniest bit out of true. Does not seem to want to sit on all 4 feet. But still works and when it is in her lap she does not even notice.
Some people had wondered about the durability of Acer products. Well, if you can go by this one, I believe they are put together right well.
Have a GREAT Thanksgiving.
Dont, Just Dont October 27, 2009 Sean Grider (Granite City, Il) HD crashed about three months after buying, Acer said they would replace/repair the unit after we sent it to them. I asked for a FedEx or UPS number and they told me I had to send it in on my dime. I find that to be unacceptable. If your product sucks, dont make the people who were willing to try it out pay for it. Other than that, it was ok for what its meant for. Dont try to use this as a full time, all purpose computer. It will let you down.
