Not worth the cost March 12, 2010 Madril Smith (Oklahoma City, OK) I purchased the headphones to replace the factory headphones that came with my iPod Touch. Although the headphones look great they are not worth the money, IMO. Main main gripe is that they are poorly constructed. I've owned the headphones for a little over 3 weeks and they are already starting to short-out. I have to constantly adjust the wire in order for sound to come out of both earbuds. Otherwise only one side plays well.
I'm not hard on the headphones. I don't sleep with them on or lay on them. I use them at the gym from time to time but that's about it. Normally I'm stationary while listening to them.
The sound is pretty good and the bass comes through well, but the poor durability of the product makes it not worth the [...] they are asking. Another aggrevating thing about the headphones is whenever you have the phones in you can hear the muffled sound of the cord moving through the earphones.
Not worth it!! March 12, 2010 Rafael I'm not one to waist my time writing reviews but I had to in this one. This things are horrible!
I own a fiew ear buds and I needed some new ones so I gave these a sho.
My mistake, the sound is horrible. What's the deal with the super trbel? It's like a tweeter
shirping in your ear!!!changing the sound modes don't do anything. They stay the same.
Waist of mone and not worth the $30 bucks.even the ones at the dollar store sound better.
After one day of use they ended up in the never gonna use again pile.I say go for something better...
Not worth the money of time invested in 'breaking in' March 12, 2010 TheOldDude I purchased these as a replacement for a pair of Creative Labs EP-630 earphones. I read all the reviews here and realized that users were very polar either really liking or hating them. I hoped I'd be in the first group. I broke the buds in by playing the nonstop loop off the [...] site for 5 hours a day for 7 days. Before break in the soundstage was nonexistent and the bass was subdued and the treble overbearing. Breaking tightened the bass nicely and tamed the treble but the soundstage remains severely compressed. 20 more hours of breakin ensued to see if the buds can be improved upon with no change whatsoever in quality. The music has no presence. No soundstage. I'm ready for the canned 'you probably got a less than perfect pair' response from Jlabs but I just don't think these phones can compare to much less expensive models. Don't waste your money and your time breaking in these phones. Just picked up pair of Creative EP-630's off eBay for less than $10.
They are fine. March 11, 2010 Chaddyr23 (Fort Lauderdale, FL) I seriously do not like how short the actual cord is, also the ear buds aren't as far apart as the old pair I had. I couldn't really run with these without these falling out or getting knocked out, which was never a problem with my other earbuds. However, the fantastic sound quality almost makes up for this. Fantastic, if you aren't moving too much.
Buy Radius Atomic Bass instead March 10, 2010 Ryan L. Trotter (NP, NE) For $29 I expected at least good sound quality but didn't even achieve average in my opinion. The buds do cancel out noise better than any other earphone I have tried but what's the point if the sound quality is inferior. Bought these to replace a pair of Radius Atomic Bass earphones that I lost. Do yourself a favor and buy a pair of Radius Atomic Bass earphones and you will save yourself $5 from having to return the Jbuds.
